• It shall be for an Ophthalmologist who, after attaining 65 years of age, has done distinctive work in the Community Ophthalmology so as to reduce the Blindness of the country.
• It shall be given once in four years based on an application made to the Chairman – Scientific Committee with details of the work done, proof of age and the period during which the work was done.
