- All Senior Member of AIOS- age more than 60 years
- 15 years standing of AIOS
- For work done in India
Nominations for the award shall be made by the Affiliated State Societies of Senior Member(s) of the AIOS from that Society. Nomination must not exceed the number of representatives from that Society in the Managing Committee. Nomination may be made to the Chairman, Scientific Committee of the AIOS, in recognition of their contribution to Ophthalmology and the AIOS.
