Note: At one time a member can apply only for one speciality. One candidate can do maximum in two specialities.
Eligibility
1. Must be an AIOS member
2. Basic post graduate qualification in ophthalmology recognized by Govt. of India (DO/DNB/MD/MS/any recognized international qualification)
3. Minimum of two years experience after postgraduation
4. Must have completed the subspecialty fellowship or at least in the final year of fellowship
5. Must have completed senior residency or at least in the final year of senior residency
6. Must have at least two years of practical experience in the subspecialty (including training in fellowship or senior residency)
Examination Centers:
Online Written Test: New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad
OSCE & VIVA: Different centers for different specialities.

Examination process involves 3 stages
- 1 st Stage: One hour theory online exam - 60 MCQ Questions
- 2 nd Stage: OSCE
- 3 rd Stage: Viva voce
